The Way I See It, the sanctioning body of the Lancaster-Lebanon League should consider scheduling boys and girls varsity games at the same location. I'm not the first person to share this desire. I've had sports editors, parents and basketball coaches express the same wish. Particularly, this year as the Solanco boys team is enjoying an outstanding season. Parents and coaches of the girls team have no shot at viewing the electricity existing at the Mule home games, unless we host an opening round District III game. Incidentally, the boy's team has qualified for Districts, so keep dates open in late February and beyond. Someone far wiser than I stated, "success breeds success". Our girl's team needs to hear our pep band, the cheers and vaulting of our cheerleaders and the enthusiasm and support of our student body. I suggest the L-L League alternate the starting team, so that the crowd has an opportunity to attend one game or another, or ideally stay for both. Girls begin play on Tuesday's at 6:30 p.m.., boy's at 8 p.m. Friday it's the reverse. If the league can be divided into four Sections, we can make this change as well. I'm not a big advocate of the four Sections. I'd like to see the Mules and Lady Mules play Lampeter-Strasburg, Pequea Valley, Lancaster Mennonite, and Penn Manor during the regular season and not as part of a pre-season schedule. And I'd like to see both varsity teams on the same night at the same location. How about you?
