There will be a 3-on-3 in-line hockey tournament for adults held at the SECA Hockey Rink located in Memorial Park in Quarryville on Saturday, March 25, beginning at 8 a.m. According to SECA director, Julie Collins each team will be guaranteed a minimum of three games. Games will be 3-on-3 with a goalie. Entry fee is $105 with a maximum roster of seven players. All players must be 18 years of age or older. Registration deadline is Friday, March 10. Starting in April a co-ed Street Hockey League will be available to all men and women interested in playing hockey. This league is open to both full and partial teams and individuals. Cost is $25 per player. Teams will be comprised of four members each with a goalie. Games will be played on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays at the outdoors SECA Hockey Rink located in Quarryville's Memorial Park. SECA will sponsor a youth spring stroke and skills swim clinic on Fridays at Millersville University beginning March 24. This is a clinic, which will assist youth interested in improving their swimming stroke skills. This clinic is not for youth having any swimming experience. SECA will begin offering a NFL Flag Football League beginning on Sunday afternoon, March 19, and ending on May 21, to youth aged 5-8, 9-11 and 12-14. The Solanco Over 35 Softball League, under the direction of the Southern End Community Association (S.E.C.A.), will be holding a meeting and registration on Tuesday, Feb. 28, from 7-9 p.m. at the SECA Building, Legion Park, Quarryville. Both new and former teams are requested to attend. In its second season, the league is hoping to expand to eight teams. All games will be played weeknights under the lights at 8:15 p.m., thus affording many of the players who coach in youth leagues an opportunity to compete.
