OXFORD—PennDOT will hold an open house to unveil a public plan to reconstruct and improve six miles of the Route 1 Bypass from just north of the Locust Street bridge to just north the Route 896 (Newark Road) Interchange in Oxford, Lower Oxford, and Upper Oxford townships.

The meeting will take place Tuesday, May 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hopewell Elementary School at 602 Garfield Street in Oxford.

The purpose of the open house is to present the public with progress plans and a status update on the project. The meeting will be conducted as an open-house plans display where citizens will have the opportunity to circulate among the subject displays to gather information and discuss the different facets of the project with PennDOT’s design team.
