William J. Leike, 87, of Coatesville, died on Monday, July 21, at the Hickory House in Honey Brook.Bill was the husband of Carolyn (nee Bea) Leike, with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage.

Born in Sadsbury Township, he was the son of the late Albert T. Sr. and Araminta (nee Moore) Leike.

An area resident his entire life, he had attended the Parkesburg schools.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Rhineland and received the American Campaign Metal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.

He was employed at the V.A. Medical Center in Coatesville, retiring in 1977 after 35 years of employment.

He was a member of the Olivet United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #430 of Parkesburg, the Fireman's Bowling League and the Senior Citizens Bowling League.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by a daughter, Cheryl A. Leike of Coatesville; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Leike of Punta Gorda, Fla.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda L. Leike; a sister, Betty Mulvaney; and a brother, Albert T. Leike Jr.
