The White Clay Jaguars Under-14 team recently finished the regular season with a 2-2 draw against the Cecil County Dragons. Brian McCabe and Euan Livington each netted goals for the Jaguars. The draw locked the Jaguars into first place and gave them the top seed for the upcoming playoffs. The Jaguars will face the Nether Providence Knights this Saturday in the semifinals, where a win will send them to the championship game on Sunday.Meanwhile, the White Clay Comets Under-10 soccer team recently suffered a tough 3-1 defeat to the Radnor Revolution on a muddy, rain-soaked field last Saturday. The Comets got off to a slow start and could not recover from a 2-0 deficit despite Justin DeVice's goal.
Brandt Miao, Stetson Fenster, Mary Kate Edelson, Ricky Gall and Wyatt Anderson all turned in solid performances in defeat. The loss knocked the Comets into sixth place and out of the playoff race. In this, their inaugural season, the Comets finished 2-2-4 overall and made great strides as the youngest, and one of only two co-ed teams in the league. The Comets will be returning for the spring soccer season in March.
