Longaberger Basket BingoThe Downingtown Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Longaberger Basket Bingo on Oct. 19 at the East Brandywine Fire Company. Benefits Amina C. Valocchi Scholarship Fund of the Downingtown Chamber of Commerce. Cost of tickets is $20 which includes 20 regular games. Prizes are filled Longaberger Baskets, door prizes, food for purchase, Longaberger Basket Raffle Items, four special games of bingo. Bingo begins at 1 p.m., doors open at 12 p.m.

Fall Festival set Sept. 27

Fallowfield Historical Society's Annual Fall Festival will take place Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is a fund-raiser honoring and supporting the vision of the late Mrs. Peggy Young, the Fallowfield Historical Society's founder. It is both a fun way to spend the day and a tribute to her 'life's work' that of gathering, preserving and sharing our rich and colorful local heritage with today's families and future generations! Twilight Pond Tour slated

Turpin Landscaping, Inc. of Coatesville and Senn Landscaping, Inc. of Eagle, PA announce their inaugural, "Deliciously Enchanting Twilight Pond Tour" and Moonlight Reception. The event will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Moonlight Reception (free with your purchase of a $15 pond tour ticket) will be immediately following the pond tour (location announced on the tickets).

This eagerly anticipated event highlights the fascinating water features that can only be truly appreciated through night's eerie glow. Eight select ponds in Exton, Chester Springs, Glen-moore (and surrounding areas) have been hand-chosen for this spooktacular event. The ponds featured will highlight Halloween displays boasting thousands of lights, captivating landscape lighting and hypnotic underwater illumination. For those in the know, fish and flora features take on a new life under the glow of the stars. This tour is self-guided and tickets/directions can be obtained from the ticket sellers.
