One of the area's most famous Mother's Day traditions is rolling around again: The 16th running of the Willowdale Steeplechase. Scheduled for Sunday, May 11, rain or shine, its activities will include NSA races, pony races, Jack Russell terrier races, tailgating competition, family activity tent, antique cars, carriage parade and The Shoppes at Willowdale Tent.Gates open at 10 a.m. Pre-race activities start at 11 a.m. The first race is at 1:30 p.m. The course is located at the intersection of routes 82 and 926 in East Marlborough Township.
General admission is $20 per person Race day sales, $25 per person Children under 12 are admitted free.

Anyone who is deemed to be a threat to the safety and/or well being of others will be escorted from the property. This covers but is not limited to disruptive behavior caused by irresponsible drinking, uncontrolled dogs and disorderly children.
The races are held rain or shine. The gates open at 10 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.
o Contain your party to your parking space
o Tents and awnings are not permitted
o Height limit for all vehicles and canopies is 7 feet.
o No grills, fires or glass containers are permitted.
o Only one car is permitted with each reserved parking space. Only those vehicles with supplied hanging tag pass will be allowed to enter the reserved parking area. Additional guests may park in the general admission area.
o Race fans are permitted to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics in the general admission area.
