The Unionville High School girls lacrosse team inched a step closer to the Ches-Mont title as they kept their undefeated league record in tact.With the regular season winding down, Unionville traveled to Avon Grove last Thursday night and earned an 11-6 victory over the host Red Devils.

In the process, Unionville improved to a perfect 9-0 in the Ches-Mont this season and remained in sole possession of first place in the 12-team league ahead of second place West Chester Rustin (8-1).

Leading the way for the Lady Indians against Avon Grove was Lindsey Smith, who netted a game-high four goals in the contest. Lisa Riondet added two goals in the win for Unionville, who built a 6-1 halftime lead and never looked back.
