Make it three in a row for the Unionville High School girls soccer team.

Last week Unionville captured its third straight Ches-Mont League American Division title after it routed visiting Octorara by a score of 8-0.

It's been a dominant season for the Indians, who finished 11-0-1 in the Ches-Mont League this fall. Unionville also went undefeated in league play last year, and hasn't lost a Ches-Mont match since 2007.

In its 16 games so far this season, Unionville has outscored its opponents by a combined margin of 46-8. Unionville's defense has also posted 11 shutouts this fall.

By winning the American Division, Unionville is slated to face National Division winner Downingtown West for the overall Ches-Mont League championship on Thursday, Oct. 22. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m. at Great Valley High School.

Unionville and Downingtown West have met once already this year, with Downingtown West earning a hard-fought 2-1 in the season opener for both squads.

Unionville, who is 12-3-2 overall this season, is coached by Joe Ratasiewicz.

The Indians are led by captains Lindsey Smith (senior forward), Jackie Thaeder (senior midfielder) and Allegra Gray (junior midfielder). The team features six seniors in all. The others are goalie Allison Bernstein, forward Lizzy Carney, defender Megan Hughes and defender Abbey Lathrop.
