Burglary, Dec. 30State police were called to investigate a burglary on Newport Avenue in Christiana Borough. The suspect, a white male, approximately 5 feet, 2 inches tall, with a thin build and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, entered through the open overhead garage door and attempted to steal beer from the refrigerator located inside the garage, Trooper Thomas Swiech reported. The suspect fled the scene when detected by the victim, Barbara Baylor, 68, of Christiana.
Simple assault, Jan. 1
State police were dispatched to the 3000 block of Lincoln Highway East for an active fight. Upon arrival it was determined that Joshua Feathers, 24, of Christiana, had punched Chase Kendig, 22, of Lancaster, in the face causing swelling and a laceration, Trooper Thomas Koebley reported. Fethers, who was highly intoxicated, was combative toward the responding troopers. He was subdued and arrested for simple assault and resisting arrest.
DUI, Jan 5
State Police stopped a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am sedan, driven by Rebekah Herr, 19, of Christiana, along Strasburg Road in Sadsbury Township, for various vehicle code violations. Herr was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and was subsequently arrested for DUI.
Traffic collision, Jan. 7
There were minor injuries when a 1983 Chevrolet E350, driven by a 16-year-old male, was distracted for a few moments while traveling south on Steelville Road in West Fallowfield Township. The vehicle left the right side of the roadway and struch a large tree stump before turning on its side, Trooper Anthony Garipoli, Jr. reported. Atglen Fire Department and EMS assisted at the scene.
Disorderly conduct, Jan. 8
State Police investigated an incident of disorderly conduct, which occurred along Stonewood Drive in Salisbury Township. Mitchell Fillman, 50, of Gap, is accused of revving his motorcycle engine repeatedly and yelling obscenities, Trooper Timothy Connolly reported. Fillman is being charged with two counts of disorderly conduct.
