JV ice hockeyThe Avon Grove High School junior varsity ice hockey team kept its hold on first place in the league with a recent 6-2 victory over Spring-Ford.

Kyle Aucott led Avon Grove with two goals. Also scoring was David Cyron, Justin Newton, Brendan Cleary and Riley Miller. Adding assists in the victory were Miller, Cyron, Jack Manley, Tyler Orner, Adam Miner, Nick Dow and Jeff Bennett.

Avon Grove had 41 shots on goal. The Red Devils defense of Tommy Malone, Carson Newton, Manley and Dow helped make sure goalie Johnny Travis only faced 11 shots on goal.

Avon Grove has already earned a spot in the playoff with the regular season winding down. The Red Devils face Lower Merion on Feb. 7 at 10:30 p.m. at IceWorks in Aston.

KAPRB Summer Camp

Great summer camp for children ages 5 to 13 years old. Children enjoy arts and crafts, games, sports, swimming, karate and field trips.
