Simean Galis Kotler, 46, of Avondale died on Wednesday, April 29, at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester.Born in Chester, she was the daughter of Vincent and Roxane Gormley Dougherty of Avondale.

She was a member of Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Landenberg.

A homemaker, she was also a substitute teacher for Cecil County School District. She enjoyed family cookouts and being with her family and friends. She was an advocate for the homeless and an animal activist. She taught equestrian riding.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Donna Blisard; one son, Austin Jared Mull of Avondale; two daughters, Kamaryn Brianna Mull, of Elkton, Md., and Cierra Simean

Lennox of Port Deposit, Md.; and three grandchildren, Logan Michael Smith, Reagan Thomas Little and Mark Alan Little, Jr.; and fiance Louie DiBartolomeo, Jr.

Her funeral service was Sunday, May 3, at Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home, West Grove.

Interment was Sharp's Cemetery, Fair Hill, Md.
