Robert B. "Squeeky" Kahler, 67, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23 at Neighborhood Hospice of West Chester.He was the beloved husband of Jean S. Kahler, together with whom he shared 35 years.
Born in Delaware County, he was the son of the late Joseph P. and Mildred Brewster Kahler.
Growing up, he was known as one of the "Corner-Ketch Kids." He was a 1960 graduate of Downingtown High School and attended Kentucky Wesley University.
Mr. Kahler was employed as a quality assurance supervisor for Wyeth Labs for 39 years, retiring in 2000.
He was on the board of directors of the Downingtown Area Historical Society and was a member of Honey Brook Golf Club and of St. Anthony's Lodge.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Kahler is survived by his son, R. Gregory Kahler of Melrose, Mass.; daughter, Karen Kahler Clark of West Chester; six stepchildren; sister, Kathy Macpherson of Malvern; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Bruce; and his sister, Karen.
