Road rage in Kennett Township lands local man with DUI charge

On October 14, 2016 at 11:16 AM, Kennett Township Police responded to the 400 block of Bayard Road for a single vehicle crash. It was later determined that the crash resulted from a road rage incident involving Warren Giza-Sisson, age 21, of Chadds Ford PA and Joseph McCormick, age 54, of Hockessin DE. Mr. Giza-Sisson struck Mr. McCormick’s vehicle with his own in the rear bumper and was unable to navigate the curve in the roadway and crashed into a telephone pole. After speaking with the Mr. Giza-Sisson, who admitted to using narcotics prior to the crash, he was arrested for DUI Drug related. No parties were injured due to the crash.

DUI

On October 16, 2016 at 6:24 PM, Kennett Township Police responded to the 800 block of Burrows Run Road for a disturbance. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with SherryLynn Pitts, age 41, of Chadds Ford PA. Mrs. Pitts had her vehicle running and admitted to driving to the location, witnesses corroborated. While speaking with her, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from her breath. SherryLynn Pitts was arrested for DUI.

Two-vehicle crash

On October 12, 2016 at 8:05 PM, Kennett Township Police responded to the area of East Baltimore Pike and McFarlan Road for a two vehicle crash. The at fault vehicle was traveling west on East Baltimore Pike when it ran the activated red traffic signal striking the vehicle that was crossing from McFarlan Road into the Fairfield Inn Hotel. The driver of the at fault vehicle, Aiman Khan, age 20, of Kennett Square PA and the passenger in her vehicle, Saeeda Afzal, age 53 of Kennett Square PA were transported to Chester County Hospital for unknown injuries. The victim vehicle, driven by, David Connelly, age 49, of Monument CO did not suffer any injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
