Coatesville >> Coatesville police quickly controlled two situations involving two different men who waived handguns openly on the same street.
On Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 6:19 p.m., Coatesville police were dispatched to the 500 block of Walnut Street for a suspicious condition in reference to a black male wearing all black was brandishing a firearm.
Upon arrival, police met Steven McCain Jr. of Coatesville, who was in possession of a firearm. Witnesses said McCain was waiving the firearm around, loading and unloading the magazine, and trying to intimidate women on scene.
Neighbors made their children go inside from playing outside while he was waiving the gun around. McCain stated he was called there by a friend after a disturbance, and he went there to assist his friend. McCain was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and recklessly endangering other people. His firearm was seized by police.
And on Aug. 18, Coatesville Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 6:19 p.m. for a report of a subject waiving a gun around in the area.
Upon arrival Coatesville Police came in contact with Harry Deets, 24, of the 500 block of Walnut Street, who was found to have several bench warrants out for his arrest. Deets was taken into custody and transported to station where he was released to state constables and sent to Chester County Prison.

CoatesvilleCriminal warrant >> Aug. 9, 2018 at 10:04 a.m., Coatesville Police conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of East Chestnut Street. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Steven D. Pittman, 43, of Coatesville, and he was known to have an active criminal warrant for his arrest. Pittman was taken into custody and transported to the station for processing.
DUI >> At 10:24 p.m. on Aug. 8, 0fficers were dispatched to East Lincoln Highway for an erratic driver. While enroute, officers were advised that the vehicle stopped at the Gas Stop. Officers made contact with the driver who was identified as Zachary Heagy. 19, of the 300 block of Gavin Drive in Coatesville. Heagy was covered in marijuana leaves and had two baggies of weed next to him. Heagy was transported to Coatesville Police Stationi for processing. Heagy was then transported to Brandywine Hospital for a blood draw for suspected DUI. Heagy was transported back to Coatesville Police Station and was housed overnight. Heagy was charged with drug possession and DUI.
Drug charges >> On Aug. 9 at 1:46 a.m., officers stopped a Green Honda Accord. Officers made contact with the driver who was identified as Reginia Lewis. The passenger was identified as Andre Reeves, 48, of the 500 block of Coates Street in Coatesville. Reevers had multiple warrants for failure to appear in court. A pipe commonly used to ingest crack cocaine was found in his front pocket. Officers took the pipe and placed it into evidence. Reeves was taken into custody and transported to Coatesville Police Station. Lewis was sent on her way and Reeves was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Warrant arrest >> Darryl Michael Milbourne Jr., 31, of Toth Avenue in Coatesville, turned himself in at the Coatesville Police Station on Aug. 9 at 2:09 a.m. for an active bench warrant. He and transported directly to Chester County Prison.
