Accident, Oct. 25

A one-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 2:35 p.m. as Lois A. Kennedy, 43, of Pottstown was negotiating a right hand curve on Route 10, 197 feet south of Old Racetrack Road, and was traveling too fast for the roadway conditions. Kennedy lost control in the curve of the 2002 Dodge Durango she was driving and came to final rest on the driver's side in the opposing lane of traffic, Trooper Joshua Bryer reported.

The vehicle had six passengers, Gwen Fulmer, 28, of Pottstown, Hasan L. Rothenberger, 19, of Pottstown, and four minors. Injuries occurred and the injured persons were transported to Brandywine Hospital by Pomeroy EMS.

Accident, Nov. 3

A one-vehicle crash occurred at about 9:30 p.m. as Maryanne L. Schneider, 44, of Christiana was traveling north on Creek Road in a 1999 Dodge Ram. Schneider swerved the vehicle to the right and it slid down an embankment and impacted trees and brush, coming to rest approximately 25 feet down the embankment against a tree. Schneider was not injured, Trooper Thomas Tran reported.

DUI, Nov. 8

A traffic stop was initiated at approximately 12:38 a.m. upon the vehicle driven by Matthew D. Haldeman of West Chester due to his erratic driving. It was determined that Haldeman was driving under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested for the same, Trooper Timothy Connolly reported.

Robbery, Nov. 10

State Police investigated an incident of a robbery that occurred at Turkey Hill, 941 Route 41, Gap, Salisbury Township, at approximately 2:30 a.m. The suspect is unknown, Trooper Bertrum A. James reported. Anyone with information relevant to this investigation is requested to contact the State Police at (717) 299-7650.

Domestic dispute, Oct. 27

Police were called to Ridge Avenue for a domestic dispute. No arrests were necessary.

Attempted homicide, Oct. 29

Police are investigating an attempted homicide by motor vehicle. Stephanie Johnson, 35, of Lancaster County, was arrested and charged with criminal attempt homicide and related offenses. She was remanded to the Chester County Prison.

Suspicious vehicle, Oct. 31

Police were called to Dallas Street for a suspicious vehicle, possibly posing as a police vehicle. Police have identified the owner.

Suicide threat, Oct. 31

Police were called to Ridge Avenue for a subject threatening suicide. The subject was transported to the hospital for observation.

Harassment, Nov. 1

Police were called to Glen Run Drive for harassment. Police charged Frank Murray of Atglen with harassment.

Arrests, Nov. 1

Police were called to Chester Street for intoxicated persons causing a disturbance. Police arrested two subjects.

Disorderly motorist, Nov. 1

Police were called to Glen Run Drive for a disorderly motorist. The witness reports ongoing incidents with the paper delivery driver. The driver was cited for ongoing noise disturbances.

DUI, public drunkenness, Nov. 1

Police arrested and charged James Vanscoter, 38, of Atglen with DUI and related offenses. A passenger in the vehicle, David Mitchell, 24, of Parkesburg was charged with public drunkenness.

Traffic control, Nov. 2

Police assisted with traffic control for the parade.

Domestic dispute, Nov. 2

Police were called to a residence on Israel Mill for a domestic dispute. No arrests were necessary.

Arrest, Nov. 3

Police were called to a domestic dispute in Glen Brook Apartments. James Reeves, 44, was arrested and charged with assault and related offenses. The subject was remanded to the Chester County Prison.

Highland Township

Fallen tree, Oct. 28

Police were called to Route 10 in the area of Racetrack Road for a fallen tree. Police cleared the obstruction.

Traffic control, Oct. 29

Police were called to the Octorara campus for traffic control for students crossing Highland Road.

Illegal hunting, trespassing, Oct. 29

Police conducted patrols of area roadways for illegal hunting and trespassing incidents. Police have arrested three teenage males for trespassing and illegal hunting along Beaver Dam and Five Point roads. PA Game Commission was called in to assist with Game Law violations and weapons confiscation.

Burglary, theft, Oct. 29

Police were called to investigate a burglary and theft reported on East Highland Road.

Juvenile mischief, Oct. 30

Police were called to Chestnut Hill Drive for juveniles throwing stones at passing vehicles. Police located the subjects and are handling the situation.

Accident, fleeing the scene, Oct. 31

Police were called to investigate a single vehicle accident at Stottsville and Boroline roads. The driver fled the scene prior to police arrival. The subject has been identified and charges are pending for numerous violations.

Police were called to investigate a subject with a weapon along Strasburg Avenue. The subject was engaged in Halloween, using a poor choice of props for their costume. The article was turned over to a parent.

Police apprehended three subjects involved with mischief on West Second Avenue. All subjects opted to reverse their prank with soap and water, rather than face criminal charges.

Police arrested Daniel Moore of Parkesburg for outstanding warrants.

Alarm activation, Oct. 31

Police were called to investigate an alarm activation coming from a West First Avenue business. No criminal activity was discovered.

Police were called to a domestic dispute on East Main Street. One subject was escorted from the property.

Underage drinking, Nov. 1

Police were called to Strasburg and Main streets for disorderly pedestrians. Police have charged Anita Depedro, 18, of Coatesville with underage drinking.

Police were called to West Second Avenue for a domestic dispute. One subject was removed for emotional evaluation.

Handgun possession, Nov. 1

Police were called to the area of Crystal Springs for a subject with a handgun. Responding officers were unable to locate the person described.

Police were called to assist State Police in the parking lot of the Keystone Motel with a disturbance involving a knife.

Police were called to West Second Avenue for subjects throwing bottles at a residence. All three subjects were caught and cited. Two juveniles were turned over to awaiting parents. One teen was released after cleaning the glass from the area.

Police were called to West Street for an injured subject in the park.

Police were called to South Culvert Street for suspicious juveniles placing objects in the roadway.

Fall victim, Nov. 2

Police were called to West Third Avenue for an injured subject after a fall.

Assault, Nov. 2

Police were called to the 700 block of Main Street for an assault. The victim reports being assaulted by a passing motorist. The suspect stopped and confronted the resident, who was displeased with reckless driving in the neighborhood. The unidentified driver repeatedly struck the resident, causing injury. The suspect is described as a white male, approx. 6'0, 200 lbs, with salt and pepper hair. The suspect fled the area in a red, 1990s Chevy Lumina, PA registration begins with GXP. Police are investigating and request that anyone having information on the identity of this suspect please call police at (610) 857-3535.
