DOWNINGTOWN o On Nov. 5 Anthony Marsillo Jr., 46, of Coatesville was charged with public drunkenness after police reportedly observed him walking into traffic in the 200 block of West Lancaster Avenue.o James A. Raymond, 54, of West Chester, was arrested for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct in the 300 block of Jefferson Avenue after he was reportedly involved in a domestic incident.
EAST FALLOWFIELD o Shortly before 8 a.m. Nov. 6 police received a report of a two vehicle crash with no injuries on Mortonville Road at Strasburg Road. The vehicles struck each other's side mirrors while crossing a bridge in opposite directions.
o At 2:30 a.m. on Nov 7 someone reported that a vehicle struck multiple vehicles on Youngsburg Road in South Coatesville and continued to crash again at the intersection of Buck Run Rd and Doe Run Rd, where the vehicle overturned. The responding officer found a subject sitting uninjured on the roadside. The subject was arrested for DUI.
o At about 8 p.m. Nov 7 someone reported that she was picking up her son, who she believed had a warrant out for his arrest, in York County. She was afraid to bring him back to Chester County because she thought he would flee. Officers made contact with York County and requested that they attempt to pick up the subject, but the woman was already heading back to Chester County. She called back to report a verbal dispute with her son, who then fled on foot with her cell phone. Officers were unable to locate him.
o Shortly before noon on Nov. 8, a motorist was stopped for driving on a closed road at Woodward and West Chester roads. and was given a verbal warning.
o At 12 p.m. on Nov 8, someone reported that an employee has been stealing from a store on the 800 block of Doe Run Road. The thefts are being investigated.
o Around 12 p.m. on Nov 9 someone reported that two black males had walked into the woods by their property on the first block of Glen Lee Drive. Officers found that two people in two different pickup trucks, who were catching minnows for fishing, both had warrants for their arrests. The officers took both subjects into custody.
o Close to 11 p.m. on Nov 9 a resident on the 800 block of South Caln Road called to report loud banging on the back side of her house. Officers checked the area for a prowler, but nothing was found.
o At approximately 3 p.m. someone called to report multiple, sporadic gun shots in the area of the 400 block of Fairview Rd. The responding officer found that the source of the shots was someone was sighting in their scope and target shooting.
o On Nov 10 two township residents, a 12-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, were charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly taking video games, music players, cell phones and other property worth an estimated $2,5000 from a house on the 200 block of Wilmington Road. The two reportedly entered the house twice through an unlocked rear door. The home owner had noticed items missing but was unaware he was the victim of a crime. Both juveniles were released to their parents pending action by juvenile court authorities.
o Around 1:45 p.m. on Nov 10 three motorists were stopped and given verbal warnings for speeding on the 2100 and 2200 blocks of Strasburg Road.
o Around 5:30 p.m. on Nov 11 the Caln Police Department requested assistance in locating a 34-year-old suicidal subject possibly armed with a hand gun who was on foot. Officers located the subject in Coatesville, where he was taken into custody without incident.
o Several thefts from unlocked vehicles on the 100 and 200 blocks of Providence Hill Road, the first block of Narragansett Lane, and the 100 block of Watch Hill Road were reported the morning of Nov 11. Losses ranged from values of app. $40 up to $1700. Items taken included sunglasses, CDs, cash, clothing, consumer electronics and GPS units, and a garage door opener. Serial number reports are pending on relevant items.
o Shortly after 9 p.m. on Nov 12, a person reported a two-vehicle accident blocking the road at S. Bailey Road and West Chester Road. An officer responded and found that one car struck the other while crossing the intersection after a stop. The driver of the car which was struck was transported to Brandywine Hospital for injuries, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
o At about 12:30 p.m. on Nov 12, two horses were reported loose on the roadway. The responding officer found that the horses had been found and contained and that the owner of the horses had walked the horses back to their stalls.
