COATESVILLEo Police arrested Yma Jackie-O Steadman, 51, of Coatesville, about 2 p.m. Nov. 17 in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway after officers received a report of drug activity in the area.
When police responded two witnesses reportedly told police a woman wearing a red sweatshirt who was involved in drug activity fled the area when officers arrived. Police chased the woman - later identified as Steadman. While looking for her identification in her lunch box, police said drug paraphernalia and suspected drugs could be seen in the box.
When police searched the woman prior to arrest, officers allegedly found more suspected drugs on Steadman. All of the suspected drugs tested positive for cocaine, police said.
o Police arrested Lamar Addison, 19, of Coatesville about 10:15 p.m. Nov. 11 in the 800 block of East Lincoln Highway for four active arrest warrants. While police were taking Addison into custody, officers allegedly two pills wrapped in paper in his pocket. Police said the pills are suspected to be hydrocodone vicodin and were sent to a lab for testing.
o Police arrested Alberto Martinez Pacheco, 36, of Coatesville, about 9 p.m. Nov. 6 in the area of North 3rd Avenue and Chestnut Street after officers responded to the location for the report of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, police spoke with Pacheco, who allegedly smelled like alcohol. Police said Pacheco was taken into custody for public drunkenness and taken to the station. Upon searching the defendant at the station, police allegedly found baggies of a powdery white substance, which was sent to a state police lab for analysis.
Police charged Pacheco with drug possession and disorderly conduct.
o Police charged Lewanda Louise Henderson, 23, of Coatesville, for assault following an incident that reportedly occurred Oct. 30 in the 500 block of East Lincoln Highway.
Police arrested Henderson for allegedly assaulting two women in a home. She has been charged with burglary, disorderly conduct and related charges.
o About 6 p.m. Nov. 19 in the 2300 block of West Chester Road police received a report of a person who came to their house and was trying to sell Verizon Fios. The resident told police that the subject did not have any thing showing that they were from Verizon. Police checked area but subject was gone on arrival. A peddler's permit was on file at the department for that company, police said.
o About 6:15 p.m. Nov. 18 police received a report of a loose dog in the first block of Woodland Avenue. Police responded and spoke with the reporting party who stated that the dog went to the neighbor's house. Police spoke with the dog's owner and advised her to keep the dog contained on their own property.
