COATESVILLEo Police arrested Duwjana F. Burkholder-Aikin, 43, of Coatesville, about 4:45 a.m. Dec. 6 in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street for resisting arrest and other charges after he was allegedly involved in a domestic incident.

o Police arrested Matthew Lewis, 23, of West Grove, about 4 p.m. Dec. 7 in the 100 block of East Chestnut Street for driving under the influence and other charges after police responded to a traffic accident.

o Police charged Alfred J. Hogue, 23, of Coatesville, with drug possession after police took him into custody because he was a wanted suspect about 10:30 p.m. Dec. 10 in the area of Woodland Avenue and Olive Street.


Just before 9 a.m. Dec. 15 police stopped a driver for reportedly speeding in the 2300 block of Strasburg Road Motorist. Upon obtaining the driver's information, the officer found the driver's license was suspended. The officer issued the driver two citations and instructed the driver to park the vehicle and have someone else remove the vehicle who has a valid license.


State police are investigating after a theft occurred about 6 p.m. Dec. 14 at Harry's Quick Shop in the 2900 block of Lincoln Highway.

Police said a white male in his 40s wearing a white baseball cap, gray sweatshirt, red T-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers took a red Cingular cell phone from the countertop.

Police said surveillance video captured the suspect. Authotrities ask anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the state police Embreeville station at 484-340-3241.


o About 5 a.m. Dec. 6 police arrested Daniel L. Mooney, 28, of Downingtown, for DUI and other traffic violations following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Wallace Avenue. Police said Mooney was stopped because he failed to use a turn signal.

o About 10:20 p.m. Dec. 5 police arrested Carl M. Dixon, 23, of Downingtown, for aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct following a domestic incident, police said.

o About 2:30 a.m. Dec. 7 police cited Kendal A. Miller, 18, and Michael J. Mingioni, 19, both of Downingtown, fro disorderly conduct following a traffic stop. Miller and Mingioni were allegedly in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

o About 12:20 a.m. Dec. 7 police arrested Brandon F. Morton, 22, of Downingtown, for DUI and traffic violations following a traffic stop. Police said Morton was stopped for making a turn at a red light where the intersection is marked at "no turn on red."

About 1:15 a.m. Dec. 14 police arrested Joshua C. Gonzales, 23, of Coatesville, in a parking lot of the Black Hawk Apartments where he was allegedly involved in a verbal domestic incident.


o About 1:30 p.m. Dec. 13 police arrested Robert T. Miller, 50, of Media for retail theft after he allegedly attempted to take over $200 in items from Wegman's Market in the Brandywine Square Shopping Center.
