EAST FALLOWFIELDo About 7:15 a.m. Nov. 5, A driver reported a one-vehicle crash into a guide rail on Route 82 south of Newlinville Road. A vehicle was traveling southbound on Route 82 when the driver lost control due to a wet roadway and crossed over into the northbound lane striking a guide rail. No injuries were reported. Road crew responded to put sand down to improve traction.
o About 11 a.m. Nov. 5 a resident in the 100 block of Glenrose Road reported that the prior night a vehicle struck his mailbox and left the scene. No description was given for vehicle. Resident said he/she did hear it happen.
o About 1:15 p.m. Nov. 5 A residential intrusion alarm sounded from the front door to a home in 100 block of N. Governor Way. Upon arrival spoke with two females who advised they were friends with the homeowner and put the wrong pass code in. Police spoke with homeowner via phone who advised they were allowed to be there.
o About 2 p.m. Nov. 5 a person reported RP reported a 2 vehicle crash in the parking lot in the 800 block of Doe Run Road. A vehicle was pulling out of a space and struck another vehicle.
o About 10 a.m. Oct. 30, a man went to the police station to report his ex-girlfriend had been repeatedly calling him, text messaging him, and sending him photos despite being told to not do so. The ex-girlfriend was contacted and alleged that the complainant is also harassing her. Both were advised to desist and if there are any additional calls after this date/time, charges will be filed.
A 16-year-old youth from Coatesville was charged with theft by unlawful taking after a bookbag belonging to Edward Trevorrow, 58, of Kennett Square, was taken from his son at Unionville High School on Nov. 3 at 6:40 p.m. Missing from the bookbag was the victim's laptop computer, which has since been returned to the victim, undamaged.
