Police have arrested a West Chester man who allegedly sexually assaulted an underage girl over a period of four years. West Chester Police Department received an anonymous report that a juvenile female was the victim of sexual assault and launched an investigation. The assault was alleged to have occurred over a four-year period, police said. On Nov. 20, Alejandro Aquino-Vaquero, 34, of West Chester, was arrested for aggravated indecent assault and related charges. Aquino-Vaquero was arraigned before a magistrate and sent to Chester County Prison in lieu of $300,000 cash bail.

Theft of metals >> On Oct. 6, a male subject was located in a construction site removing recyclable materials on E. Barnard St. As a result of police investigation, Ronald Thomas, 47 of West Chester, was charged with trespassing and theft of secondary metals. Thomas was formally arrested on Nov. 11, and held for arraignment.
Criminal mischief >> On Oct. 31, police were dispatched to 312 South High Street for a report of criminal mischief. An air conditioning unit on the roof of the building was found to be severely damaged. The estimated value of replacement is $3,600. Investigating officers identified Brock Stoudt, 20 of Reading as the individual responsible for the damages to the unit. Stoudt was arrested on Nov. 19, processed and released.
DUI >> On Nov. 11, at approximately 2:36 a.m., Derrick Berg, 33 of West Chester, was stopped in the 600 block of East Market Street, at a DUI checkpoint. Berg was arrested for driving while under the influence. He was processed and released on summons.
DUI >> On Saturday Nov. 11, at approximately 2:04 a.m., Kyle Price, 26 of Philadelphia, was stopped in at a DUI checkpoint in the 600 block of East Market Street. Price was arrested for driving under the influence and was released on summons.
DUI >> On Friday Nov. 10, at 11:50 p.m., Mitchell Cox, 23 of West Chester, was stopped at a DUI checkpoint in the 600 block of East Market Street. Cox was arrested for DUI, processed and released on summons.
DUI >> On Nov. 11, at 12:26 a.m. the West Chester Police department stopped Capri Chaney, 25 of Thorndale, after she was observed driving her vehicle the wrong way on Worthington Street. Chaney was arrested for driving under the influence and released on summons.
Southern Chester County Regional Police
DUI >> Valentin Torres-Gonzalez, age 38, with no known address, was arrested and charged with DUI and related traffic offenses, following a two-vehicle traffic accident. The incident occurred on Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m., in the 200 block of Thistledown Drive, in New Garden Township. Upon making contact with the unlicensed, at-fault operator, Torres-Gonzalez, police observed numerous indicators suggesting intoxication. He was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and submitted to a chemical test of his breath, resulting in a B.A.C. of .267.
DUI >> James E. Zahner, 66, of Kennett Square was arrested and charged with DUI and restriction on alcoholic beverages, following a two-vehicle accident. The incident occurred on Nov. 12 at 2:34 p.m., in the parking lot at 743 West Cypress Street, in New Garden Township. Zahner was identified as the at-fault operator and, in their interactions with him at the scene, police observed numerous indicators suggesting intoxication. After failing field sobriety tests, he was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. He submitted to a chemical test of his breath, resulting in a B.A.C. of .11 percent. He was processed and later released pending issuance of a summons.
