WEST CHESTER >> West Chester police have arrested two people in connection with an early-morning stabbing at a residence on South High Street after being positively identified by witnesses.
According to West Chester police, the stabbing took place May 29 at 12:45 a.m. at the 50 block of South High Street. A man was stabbed to his neck and was transported to Paoli Memorial Hospital.
After police interviews, witnesses to the stabbing identified Michael Reily, 26, of Exton as the person involved in the assault.. Reily and a second man, Matthew Dolinger, 25, of West Chester were arrested.
Reily was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and possessing instruments of crime.
Dolinger was charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution.
Reily was arraigned before a magistrate and taken to Chester County Prison in lieu of $50,000 cash bail. Dolinger was arraigned and given $5,000 cash bail. Both remain in Chester County Prison pending a preliminary hearing.

ParkesburgRobbery arrest >> After a months-long investigation into a robbery that occurred on Dec. 22, 2017 at the Family Dollar Store located at 120 W. First Avenue, Parkesburg Police on May 23 have charged Mykol James, 25, of Coatesville, with robbery, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. He was arraigned, and sent to jail pending a preliminary hearing.
West ChesterReceiving stolen property >> On May 21, Vincent Pagan III, 19, of West Chester was arrested for theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. The charges stem from an incident on March 28. Pagan III was arraigned in front of Judge Binder and committed to Chester County Prison after failing to post $5,000 cash bail.
Strong-arm robbery >> On May 20, at approximately 1:25 a.m., West Chester Police officers responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery that occurred in the area of East Market and Matlack steets. The victim reported that he was approached by a tall black male, approximately 35 years old, who took his cell phone and approximately $50 in cash. The suspect fled South on Matlack Street. Anyone with any information is urged to contact the West Chester Police Department.
Drug charges >> As a result of an investigation that began in February, 2018, a warrant was issued for Ronald McCoy. McCoy, 44, of Philadelphia, was located on May 16, in the 400 block of West Gay Street and arrested. McCoy was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility. McCoy was arraigned and committed to Chester County Prison after failing to post $10,000 cash bail.
Burglary >> On May 10, at approximately 3 a.m., the West Chester Police Department responded to a fire alarm at 500 S. Walnut Street. It is suspected that an unknown person entered the residence through the side door and pulled the fire alarm, then fled the scene. Officers discovered that the side door was opened and the cover to the fire alarm was laying in the yard. Gun, drug charges >> On May 11, at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers made contact with Chris Matuszewski in the area of Chestnut and Matlack Streets. Matuszewski , 47, who is homeless, was found to be in possession of a loaded .38 caliber handgun with an obliterated serial number and a quantity of crack cocaine. Matuszewski was arrested on firearms charges, in addition to having a weapon with an obliterated serial number, drug possession and drug delivery. He was transported to prison in lieu of $30,000 bail.
Crack cocaine seized >> On May 9, West Chester Police conducted a search warrant at 338 E. Miner Street. As a result of this search warrant, 43 bags of suspected crack cocaine and a large amount of cash were seized. Travis James, 26, of West Chester, was arrested on location and charged with possession with Intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. James was later arraigned before a magistrate and released on bail.
Indecent exposure >> On May 1, 2018 between 4:10 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. a female reported that she was walking up the southwest staircase of the parking garage located at 14 East Chestnut Street to the second floor when a subject came up behind her and took a photo up her dress. When confronted with his actions, the subject fled down the stairs. As a result of an investigation, police later identified the man as Zakkary M. Zabower. Zabower, 25, of West Chester was charged with invasion of privacy. And he was released on summons.
Indecent exposure >> On May 4, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a female was jogging in the area of Lacey and Walnut streets when she passed a white male in the opposite direction. While jogging past the man, the female stated the man reached into his shorts and exposed himself to her. The woman continued jogging down the sidewalk. When she turned around the man was gone from the area. The man is described as a white male, approximately 25 years old, bald or shaved head, 5-feet 10-inches, weighing about 180 pounds, clean shaven, wearing a gray T-shirt and black shorts.
