Piano Duo - Oleg and Liliya Maslov will be performing at the Oxford Presbyterian Church, 6 Pine Street, Oxford, on Jan. 20, 2008 at 3 p.m.The Oxford Art Series in cooperation with Ware Presbyterian Village has been providing musical concerts to the community this past year and it has been a great success. Beautiful music has been appreciated by all.

Dr. Oleg Maslov and his wife Liliya began performing as a duo-piano team in 1991, when they emigrated from Ukraine to Israel. In 1992, they were awarded a grant from the Jerusalem Cultural Foundation and began performing throughout the country in cities such as Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Beer-Sheva. In addition to their duo-piano recitals, the Maslovs were actively involved in a special education program designed to broaden the musical horizons of the younger generation.

The Maslovs perform concerts which include compositions written for two pianos, one piano and four hands, and solo piano. Their repertoire includes a wide variety of styles, covering the two -piano from Baroque epoch to the 20th Century. Special attention is given to the duo-piano compositions written by Russian and Soviet composers, including such rarely performed works as Arensky's Suites for two Pianos and Skriabin's Fantasy for two Pianos in A.

Come and start the New Year with us and enjoy this great concert. Refreshments will follow.
