The Cumberland Insurance Group will hold the grand opening of their new 37,500 square foot regional office building located at 101 Independence Way in Sadsbury Township on Saturday, May 13. Family, friends, and the public are invited to take part in the celebration from 10:00 AM to 12 Noon. Tours of the building will be conducted and refreshments will be served.
"Everyone has worked very hard, and we are very proud of the finished product," said Cumberland Insurance Group Chairman and CEO Leo T. Hogan. "Since 2000, when the company expanded into Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware, our needs have been steadily growing. The added space was necessary to accommodate the growth and the state-of-the-art technology that allows the Company to interface between the various states."
The new Sadsbury Township office features a brick exterior with a first floor grand entry lobby that showcases an ornamental staircase spanning to a second floor lobby. The building will house 30 private offices, 16,000 square feet of open office area, a large lunch room, 5,000 square feet of open storage space in the basement, and 2,000 square feet of file storage space. In addition, the on-site IT capabilities, including storage and security capabilities, will be upgraded.
"I would like to compliment our entire construction team on a job well done with a special thank you to our construction manager, Bill Cole, who did an outstanding job of assuring that our construction specifications were achieved," said Cumberland Insurance Group President Robert P. Brady. "Our thanks also go out to Benchmark Construction for their outstanding work. Project Manager Judd Foelker and on-site Project Superintendent David Dreer kept the construction teams running smoothly and did a great job of keeping us informed as to the progress."
