My life was influenced the greatest by a teacher I had in elementary school at Penn London Elementary. As a new student in 4th grade I was really nervous and really shy. Luckily, I happened to end up in the class of Mrs. Boyle, the teacher who would impact my life the most so far. She was very creative in her teaching and made sure to always make people get involved in what was going on. It would have been much tougher to open up and try to make new friends at an unknown school if she had not been such a good teacher. It is extremely difficult to try to fit in when you know absolutely no one, especially at such a young age.Previously, I was a very shy student and I know that when I arrived at school it was going to be difficult for me to make new friends. Through Mrs. Boyle's teaching style, it was much easier to feel accepted than it would have been had the teacher been boring or a grouch. I was thankful to find out that she would be "looping" and I would remain in her class as a 5th grader too. I think I experienced my most growth as a youth in those two years. I became more open to new people and had some of the most fun moments of my student life to date. I can't imagine how much harder it would have been for me to cope with being a "new kid" had I not had the teacher I did.
