Mary Byrne Knoble, 90, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Crosslands.

She was the wife of William R. Knoble, who passed away in 1993, and with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.

Born in Jacksonville, Fla., she was the daughter of the late John C. and Margaret Darcey Byrne.

A graduate of Randolph Macon College, Mary chose to raise her family and support her husband's career rather than pursue her interest in genetics.

She was an involved volunteer in her children's activities, her communities and church. She was known for her love of animals, gardening, bridge and socializing. Mary lived in many places and formed lifetime friendships.

Mrs. Knoble is survived by one son, William B. Knoble (Ellen Rocco) of Richville, N.Y.; two daughters, Katherine Ann Knoble (Chris Nicolosi) of Perkasie, Pa. and Nancy Lee Knoble of Joseph, Ore., six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one brother, Jack Byrne.

A memorial service will be held at Crosslands at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution in Mrs. Knoble's memory, may be made to the S.P.C.A. of Chester County, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.

Arrangements by the Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home, West Grove.
