Lori L. McClay, 35, of West Chester, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at the Christiana Hospital in Delaware.Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of John W. McClay and Nancy T. McClay of Parkesburg. A resident of West Chester for the past 15 years, she was employed by the MacElree Harvey Law Firm as an office assistant. She had previously worked at the Magic Years Day Care and the Curiosity Corner Day Care. Lori was a 1990 graduate of the Octorara High School and a member of the Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church of Parkesburg.
She is survived, in addition to her parents, by three siblings: Michael J. McClay, husband of Deborah, of Parkesburg, Barbara A. McClay of Parkesburg and David J. McClay of West Chester; three nieces, one nephew and one great nephew. Lori will be sadly missed by her family and many beloved friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial waas celebrated on Friday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. from the Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, 603 W. Second Ave., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Parkesburg Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends attended the viewing, which was held both on Thursday evening, Feb. 14, from 7 through 9 p.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, and on Friday morning at the Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
