KENNETT TOWNSHIP—The Kennett Township Police continue to investigate a fatal vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of Deer Pond Drive and Kennett Pike in Chadds Ford on Nov. 19, 2018. At approximately 3:47 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of Deer Pond Drive and Kennett Pike, for a single vehicle crash.
Diane Sezna, age 67 from Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania was traveling northeast on Deer Pond Drive, at its intersection with Kennett Pike in a 2001 Toyota sedan. Sezna's vehicle traveled off the roadway into a pond of water at that location. The vehicle was located partially submerged in the water.
Sezna was transported to Wilmington Hospital by the Longwood Fire Department Emergency Medical Unit, were she was pronounced deceased at 06:48 am.

Credit card theft
Police are searching for a man who stole credit cards and used them to purchase items at many locations in the New Castle, Del., area on Oct. 3. West Fallowfield police saidt the suspect entered multiple vehicles in West Fallowfield Township. He stole various personal belongings as well as multiple credit cards. He then used the stolen credit cards. Police secured a photo from a business security camera. Anyone with information should contact police at 610-593-2442.
Drugs in school
On Nov. 5, 2018 a juvenile male was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia which was found in the juvenile's possession while inside of Kennett High School.
Failing to report
The following people face charges for failing to appear to court:
-Jose Daniel Cabreja is wanted for failing to appear at court for charges stemming from a DUI, drug offenses, and traffic investigation from a traffic stop in the 500 block of South Union Street on Aug. 21.
-Noe Xalteno-Ortigoza is wanted after failing to appear for charges related to a DUI investigation on Sept. 28, 2018 in the 300 block of East Maple Alley.
-Edwin Misael Perez-Lima is currently wanted for charges stemming from a DUI and accident investigation that occurred on Jan. 30, 2014 in the 300 block of West Cypress Street.
-Eduardo Zamora-Nino is currently wanted after failing to appear for court for charges as a false identification and traffic investigation on June 13, 2017 in the 700 block of South Walnut Street.
-Jose Luis Juarez-Landeros is wanted after failing to appear in court for charges stemming from a DUI related hit and run accident on Feb. 20, 2016 in the 200 block of West State Street.
Credit card theft
The Kennett Township Police Department is investigating a theft of a credit card that was stolen out of a vehicle in the unit block of Nine Gates Road located in Chadds Ford. The card was used at multiple locations in the Wilmington area. Southern Chester County Regional
Daisy Mae Perez, 22, of Wilmington, Del. was charged with Burglary, Theft, and related offenses, in connection with a residential burglary that occurred between Oct. 15 and Oct. 19, in the 2000 block of Rosemont Drive, in New Garden Township. Information was developed that led investigators to the residence of Perez and with the assistance of Wilmington Police, a search warrant was executed and evidence connected to the burglary was recovered. Charges were filed and an arrest warrant was issued. Wilmington Police charged Perez both as a Fugitive from Justice and with local charges of Receiving Stolen Property. Perez was arraigned in Delaware and was incarcerated in lieu of posting bail. A detainer was lodged by the Chester County District Attorney’s Office and extradition is pending. The investigation is ongoing.
Julianna Alane Jasinski, 21, of Newark, Del. was arrested and charged with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act , as well as with Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence, after she was found to be in possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia, following a traffic stop for a moving violation. The incident occurred on Nov. 8 at 5:20 pm, in the 200 block of Penn Green Road, in New Garden Township. Jasinski also admitted to eating a marijuana “roach” to get rid of it, upon being pulled over by police. She was taken into custody, processed, and released pending issuance of a summons.
State police, Embreeville
Cesar Jesus Bonilla, 22, of Cochranville was arrested for U.S. Army military desertion following a traffic stop for an inspection sticker on Lincoln Highway in Caln Township on Nov. 27 at 11:30 a.m.
A 37-yar-old woman from West Sadsbury told police that she was sexually assaulted multiple times from 1991 through 1999, beginning when she was 10 years old.
