WEST CHESTER—Two planners with more than a half century of service to area residents will lead a Citizen Planners’ Breakfast designed to tackle the important subject of “Funding Essential Infrastructure.”

The speakers are David C. Babbitt, President of David. C. Babbitt & Associates, and

Chris Williams, Vice President and Associate Manager of the Mid-Atlantic region for McMahon Associates.

“Taken together, our speakers represent well over half a century of rigorous service to our communities both in planning, and in identifying ways to pay for getting plans off the paper and onto the ground,” said John B. Hannum, Jr., Chairman of Chester County 2020. “Many of us know something about how township revenues are generated; few of us are experts. Our speakers are uniquely suited to provide an overview of municipal funding resources.”

The event takes place Wednesday, October 3, 2018, from 7:00 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. at the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus Academic Building, 137 Modena Road, Coatesville. The cost is $25 per person and reservations are requested as seating is limited. To register, go to www.cc2020.org. Sponsorships are available for $250. For information, contact Chester County 2020 by calling 484-680-5570 or emailing info@cc2020.org. A buffet breakfast will be served.

David Beideman, board member of Chester County 2020, will introduce Babbitt, who will give a presentation on “Tax Revenue Resources for Municipalities.” Williams will follow with a talk on “Traffic Impact Frees and Grant Acquisition.” A question and answer period will follow.

“The financing subject becomes fascinating when we are faced with a funding challenge,” said George Asimos, President of Chester County 2020. “The experience and presentation styles of our speakers will make this event an informative and enjoyable session.”

The Citizens Breakfast is sponsored by East Fallowfield Township and Chester County 2020.
