Vintage car owners are invited to drive to the Twin Brook Winery in Gap Sunday, July 2 for Wheels in the Vineyard, an event that will benefit two medical research foundations.

Car enthusiasts may picnic in the vineyard between noon and 5 p.m. There will be door prizes and BBQ available for purchase, and the day will end with a rock and roll concert by Little Big Band from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission will be charged for the concert.

A gate fee of $5 per car will benefit the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation and the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation, two nonprofit foundations dedicated to assisting patients with Niemann-Pick disease, a serious metabolic disease caused by genetic mutations.

Admission to the evening concert under the stars is $10 for adults and $4 for children ages 5-12. Cruisers will receive discounted concert tickets.

The July 2 cruise is a new event, part of the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail "Roadkill" Barbecue weekend that Twin Brook is sharing with other Pennsylvania area wineries. In case of inclement weather the "Cruise-In" will be postponed to July 9 12 to 5 p.m.

Twin Brook continues to turn its country vineyard into an open-air stage each Saturday evening through September for its summer concert series. Music fans are invited to picnic under the stars. The concert moves indoors to the winery's new greenhouse in case of inclement weather.

Upcoming concerts will feature the blues and classic rock of Lil' Ragu Band on June 24; the Caribbean and Latin music of Los Fantasticos on July 1; the Cajun and Zydeco music of Alligator Zydeco on July 8; the John Grecia Blues Band on July 15; the neo swing of Big Tubba Mista on July 22; the Dixieland jazz of Canal Street Hot 6 on July 29; bluegrass from Special Delivery Aug. 5; rock, blues and folk from Hake and Jarema on Aug. 12; Celtic music from KnotWork on Aug. 19; songwriter/entertainer Ray Owen Aug. 26; blues, folk and rock from Mr. Z and the Nightshift Sept. 2; and dance and Motown from Big Package on Sept. 23.
