Kennett and Unionville will do battle this Friday night in the first of two scheduled regular season meetings between the two archrivals.The Ches-Mont League high school ice hockey game is slated for Dec. 19. Face-off is set for 9:30 p.m. at IceLine.
Kennett is 6-2-1 in its last nine games against Unionville.
However, in their previous meeting last February, Unionville skated to a 6-4 triumph to secure its first victory over Kennett since the 2005-06 season. The two rivals also played one other time earlier last season, and fought to a 3-3 tie.
Unionville comes into Friday night's clash sporting a 4-1 overall record. The Indians have won three straight games to move into first place in the Ches-Mont League's South Division.
Kennett will enter with a mark of 2-4 overall. The Blue Demons, though, have won two of its last three games, including a big 5-3 win over Avon Grove last Friday night.
