There was plenty on the line last week when Unionville, Great Valley and Kennett got together for a high school track meet at Kennett High School.The Ches-Mont League American Division titles for boys and girls were both on the line. Unionville and Great Valley each came in undefeated at 5-0 on the boys side. Meanwhile, the girls title also came down to Unionville and Great Valley as Unionville entered 5-0 and Great Valley stood at 4-1.
When the dust cleared, it was Great Valley (boys) and Unionville (girls) that each walked away with division titles.
Great Valley swept the boys tri-meet as they beat Unionville 82-68 and Kennett 120-30 to finish 6-0 in the league while handing Unionville (5-1) its first loss in the process.
The Unionville Lady Indians, meanwhile capped a 6-0 regular season with an American Division title as it beat Great Valley 95-55 and Kennett 126-24.
Unionville's girls were led by Susie Pancoast and Jordan Close. Pan coast won the shot put, discus and javelin. Close took first place in the 1,600 and 3,200. Kennett (2-4) was led by Chelsea Lowe, who took first in the pole vault against Unionville.
In the boys meet, Unionville's Evan Ulatowski won both the 100 and 400. Kennett, who finished the league season 3-3, was led by Blake Davenport. He won the long jump, shot put and discus against Unionville.
