UHS unveils new outdoor classroom on Earth Day 2012

Katharine E. Price, age 48, of Avondale, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, April 16. She was the wife of Tommy D. Price, with whom she shared 31 years of marriage.Born in West Grove, she was the daughter of the late George and Isabelle Gift Barrow.

She worked as a Machinist at Thomas W. Springer, Inc. in Landenberg, for the past 15 years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Thomas A. Price and his wife Diane of Cochranville; one daughter, Rebecca E. Price of Avondale; three brothers, George Barrow of Gap, Robert Barrow of Philadelphia, and Pete Barrow of Kennett Square; one sister, Janet Mahala of Elkton, Md., and one grandson, Thomas Ethan Price.

Her funeral service was Tuesday, April 22 with burial in the Kemblesville United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Joan Jenks and her hospice angels for the loving care they gave to Kathy.
