Julian J. Saska, 78, of Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2008, at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather.

Born in Czechoslovakia, he was the son of John Saska and Anna Orsag Saska, both deceased.

He was the husband of Joanna Slody Saska for 53 years.

He retired from Philadelphia Electric Co. in 1990 after 37 years of employment in the T&D department.

He was a member of St. Cecilia Church, where he served as a Eucharistic minister and an usher.

He was a life member of the West End Fire Company and a member of the Coatesville Athletic League. He was a coach for Coatesville Little League, Coatesville Babe Ruth League and St. Cecilia CYO basketball teams. He was also a member of the Brandywine YMCA.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Kevin Saska and his wife, Lynne, of Downingtown; two grandsons, Ryan Saska of Downingtown and Daniel Saska of Doylestown; one brother, Theodore Saska of Coatesville; two sisters, Julia Potpinko and her husband, Paul, of Pottstown, and Ann Hamilton and her husband, Robert, of Coatesville; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one sister, Augusta Saska.
