Joseph R. Kelly, 84, of Kennett Square died on Feb. 19, at his home.He was the husband of Eileen McWilliams Kelly.

Born in Bryn Mawr, he was the son of the late Owen and Sophia McCusker Kelly.

Mr. Kelly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was a self-employed artist. He enjoyed bird watching, walks in the woods, and painting. He was also a college basketball fan.

He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Kennett Square.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kenneth; three daughters, Dorothy, Christina, and Sophia; step children, Brian, Lisa and Lori; two brothers, Robert and Richard; and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Francis and Kent, and by a sister, Jean Behen.

A memorial Mass was held on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at St. Patrick Church, Kennett Square. Interment will be private.
