Jean E. Toot passed away at her home at Ware Presbyterian Village, Oxford, on Saturday Jan. 19 of natural causes. She was the widow of Gordon C. Toot with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.Born in Quarryville, she was the daughter of Dr. Richard and Adaline Paxson Edwards. Jean graduated from Quarryville High School in 1935 and Millersville State Teacher's College in 1937. She taught at Cedar Hill School in Fulton Township for two years until married teachers were not permitted to teach in Public Schools. Later she substituted in Quarryville Elementary and Oxford area schools. Jean and Gordon farmed Gordon's home farm at Lincoln University for 56 years.

She was a lifetime member at Penn Hill Friends Meeting. Jean and Gordon were Members of Oxford Grange and Friendly Farmer's Club. She was also a member of Oxford Homemakers. Jean is survived by a sister, Anne wife of Howard Steinberg, Quarryville and a niece, Barbara of California. There are two nephews, Richard of N.C. and Roger of Texas.

Robert P. Lefever, 66, Peach Bottom

Robert P. Lefever, 66, of Peach Bottom Road, Peach Bottom, died on Jan. 12 at home.

Born in Drumore, he was the son of the late Perry and Sara Lefever. Robert was married to Rose M. Pyle Lefever. He was a farmer and enjoyed tractors, motorcycles, classic cars and being with his friends.

Surviving besides his wife are sons Bobby of Peach Bottom and Robert C. of Quarryville along with daughters Ann Marie of Peach Bottom and Tina of Quarryville. Robert also has several grandchilOdren, four brothers and three sisters. three brothers preceded him in death.

Graveside services were held in Quarryville Cemetery, Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville on Wednesday, Jan. 16 with Pastor Tom Lefever. Arrangements are by Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services in Quarryville.

Lydia L. Stoltzfus, 65, Indiana

Lydia L. Stoltzfus, 65, of rural Rockville, Ind., passed away at her home Saturday, Jan. 12. Born December 6, 1942 in Honey Brook, to John E. and Rachel Kauffman Fisher. Lydia was a member of the Old Order Amish Church, Bellmore District. Married Joseph T. Stoltzfus on November 20, 1962 in Bart.

She is survived by her husband, parents and grandparents, Enos and Rachel Schrock of Rockville; three daughters, Levi "Rachel" King of Waveland, Ind., Aaron "Katie" Beiler of Christiana; Isaac "Sadie" Lapp of Ronks; three sons, John "Barbara" Stoltzfus of Peach Bottom, Benjamin "Sadie" Stoltzfus of Rockville, David "Rachel" Soltzfus of Rockville; six brothers: Daniel "Annie" Fisher of Marshall, Ind., Elam "Mary" Fisher of Loganton, Christ "Barbara" Fisher of Cambridge City, Ind., John "Fannie" Fisher of Rockville, Amos "Lydia" Fisher of Loganton, Paul "Lydia" Fisher of Rebersburg; five sisters: John "Rebecca" Glick of Quarryville, David "Mary" Fisher of Loganton, John "Fannie" Lapp of Allentown, John "Annie" Lapp of Rockville, Jacob "Rachel" Fisher of Loganton; 45 living grandchildren; eight deceased grandchildren.

Services were conducted at her home, 7537 E. US 36, Rockville, Ind., on Tuesday, Jan. 15, with burial at Ferndale Amish Cemetery.

Ralph E. Yost, 87, Christiana

Ralph E. Yost, 87, of Christiana went home to be with his Lord on Monday, Jan. 14 at Harrison Senior Living of Christiana. He was the husband of Erla Hart Yost with whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage on April 4 of last year.

He was born in Parkesburg, son of the late Ralph M. and Elma Wright Yost. He was a member of the Christiana United Methodist Church where he was a former trustee. Ralph was a Machinist for Downingtown Manufacturing, Beloit Eastern which are both known now as McGuckin & Pyle of Downingtown, retiring in 1986. He was a veteran of W.W. II serving in the Army with the 108th Engineering Corps in England. He was a member of the Christiana American Legion and the Gap V.F.W.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons: Ronald E. Yost and Richard P., husband of Deborah McKeown Yost, both of Atglen, two grandchildren: Corrine, wife of Kenny Davidson of Browns town, Chad, husband of Stephanie Reimold Yost of Quarryville; two step grandchildren: Lisa, wife of Ed Hoover of Paradise and Angel, wife of David Pointek of Cochranville; four great grandchildren; and eight step great grandchildren; one sister: Margie wife of Jesse Willard of Christiana. He was preceded in death by a brother: Harry Yost.

Funeral service were held at Christiana United Methodist Church, 14 South Bridge Street, Christiana, on Jan. 17 with Rev. Allan Sumerfield officiating. The interment was in Atglen Methodist Cemetery. Mary Isabelle Frey, 92, Lancaster

Mary Isabelle Frey, 92, formerly of 809 North Shippen Street, Lancaster, died Wednesday, Jan. 16 at Manor Care, Lancaster.

She was the widow of Warren H. Frey who died June 28, 1972. Mrs. Frey was born in Little Britain Township, a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Collins Steele. She was a 1938 graduate of the Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at Lancaster General Hospital. Isabelle was a former member of Little Britain Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Brown and Helen, I. married to Alan D. Bunteman, both of Lancaster; a sister Ruth Ann Ebert of West Chester, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter Kaitlyn Brown; three brothers, Harry Steele, James Steele and Collins Steele; and two sisters Margaret Swarr and Sara Callis.

Funeral services were held from Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, on Jan. 21 Rev. Robert G. Hunsicker officiating. Interment was in Little Britain Presbyterian Cemetery.
