Home invasionKennett Square Police Chief Edward Zunino reports that there was an attempted home invasion by two suspects into a residence in the 300 block of East Linden Street on Dec. 1 at 2:50 a.m. At least one of the suspects was armed. Suspect Daishane Jackson, 24, of Coatesville was captured on Dec. 13 by members of the Western Chester County Emergency Response Team for the crime and committed to Chester County Prison in lieu of bail. Zunino said that for investigative reasons, he could not elaborate any further.

Kennnett Square Public Works Manager Joe Scalise announced this week that the bridge on South Walnut Streeet will be closed for another two or three weeks, according to communications from PennDOT.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation today said its driver license and photo centers, including its full-service center in Harrisburg, will be closed on Christmas Day, Thursday, Dec. 25, and New Year's Day, Thursday, Jan. 1. Customers may still obtain a variety of driver and vehicle products and services online at www.dmv.state.pa.us. Driver and vehicle online services, including driver license renewal, photo ID and vehicle registrations, driver-history services, change of address and exam scheduling are always available.
There are no extra fees for using online services.
