Francis R. Crouthamel, 94, formerly of 777 Drytown Road, Holtwood, died late Saturday afternoon at Lancashire Hall where he resided for the past three years.He was the widow of Edith Mae Stauffer Crouthamel who died December 30, 2002. Francis was born in Souderton, a son of the late Leidy Norman and Emmaline Ratzel Crouthamel.

He was a graduate of Williamson Trade School and following that he immediately went to work at the Holtwood Power Plant, retiring as a control room operator in 1966. Francis was a member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, Quarryville.

Following his retirement, he enjoyed traveling. Surviving are four daughters, Jeanette, married to Frank Sellers of Pequea, Irene Seitz of Mesa, Ariz., Verna, married to Ronald Hall of Hooksett, N.H, Margaret, married to James Smeltz of Quarryville; a son Norman Henry, married to Robyn Crouthamel of Jeffersonville, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, Pa. on Wednesday, July 2, with Rev. Michael R. Wilson officiating.
