Frances S. Myers, age 82, went from this life into the arms of God on Tuesday, July 8. She was the wife of the late George W. Myers, who passed away in 1997, and with whom she shared 40 years of marriage.Born in West Bradford Township, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Rebekah Jackson Styer.

She was a librarian at the Hagley Museum in Wilmington, Del., for 30 years, retiring in 1995.

Frances was very creative, had a good sense of humor and will be sadly missed by her family, friends and wonderful neighbors, who helped so much, and also the caregivers for the last three weeks. She loved animals, the outdoors, her flower garden and her red Ford truck.

Frances struggled with cancer for 17 years and never asked, "Why me?" She always found some good in everyone. She gave others strength when they needed it, even though she had many problems of her own.

She loved Mother Nature and all of its surroundings. Flowers and birds seemed to thrive in her presence. She had the magic touch for anything that thrived outdoors.

She was a member of the Kennett Area Senior Center, Order of the Eastern Star and the Long-wood Fire Company Auxiliary.

She is survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Miriam Myers of Kennett Square, and Mary Moran and her husband Pat of Kennett Square; her sisters-in-law Betty Bogle of Kennett Square, and Shirley Corkell of Denton, Md.; and many nieces and nephews.

Services and burial will be private.
