Miss Deeny's love of politics led her to be a very influential leader in the Women's League of Voters. Living most of her life at the Jersey shore, Miss Deeny graduated from Ocean City High School and continued to live and shape southern New Jersey throughout her life. She organized and ran many activities including duplicate bridge leagues, Great Books, and fundraising for three new Roman Catholic Churches in the Ocean City and Cape May Courthouse townships.
