Elizabeth M. Hostetter, 77, of Kirkwood, went home to be with her Lord unexpectedly on Monday. Born in Lancaster, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Harry and Lydia Lefever Doutrich. She was the wife of Isaac E. Hostetter and would have celebrated 58 years of marriage Dec. 16.Elizabeth was a mother and housewife and enjoyed helping her husband on the family farm. She also enjoyed hosting guests in her home, making braided rugs, reading, gardening and spending time with her family. Elizabeth was a member of Mechanic Grove Mennonite Church. Surviving besides her husband are daughters; Joanne H. wife of Dan Dietzel of Strasburg, Linda wife of Don Ibach of Lancaster, Sally wife of Victor Girafalco of Denver, Judy wife of John Lentz of Manheim, Karen wife of Edwin Miller, Jr. of Landisville and Kim L. wife of Mark Weber of Mohnton along with a son, I. Bradley Hostetter of Kirkwood.

Also surviving Elizabeth are 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brothers, Cletus and Elvin Doutrich along with a sister Alma Brendle. A brother, Paul Doutrich preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be on Friday, December 19th at 11:00 a.m. from Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville.

There will be an opportunity for friends to visit with the family on Friday morning from 10 until 11 a.m. and also immediately following the service. There will also be a visitation on Thursday evening at Mechanic Grove Mennonite Church, Church Road, Quarryville from 6 until 8:30 p.m. A private family interment will be held in Mechanic Grove Mennonite Cemetery.
