Earl R. Lambert, 80, of Downingtown, died at home Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008.He was the husband of Ellen P. Lambert, with whom he would have shared 60 years of marriage in April.
Born in Chittenango, N.Y., he was the son of the late Herbert E. and Violet Watson Lambert of Berwyn.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1947 on the USS Spokekane.
From 1956 to 1993 he owned and operated Lambert's Mobil in Downingtown.
He was a member of the Downingtown Moose, Downingtown VFW and Lionville Lions Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by nine children, E. Richard (Lynn), John (Beth), Carl (Liz), Sharon Carlisle, Gary, Alan, Penny Dowlin (Chuck), Jay (Beth) and Kris Cullinan (Thomas); two brothers; one sister; 25 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, Jan. 26, at Mauger Givnish Funeral Home Inc, Malvern.
Interment was in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
