The Fallowfield Historical Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the People's Hall in Ercildoun, Route 82 and Buck Run Road, south of Coatesville. After a business meeting, Art and Doris Polk will tell the story of the Polk's Flower Shop and how it was started. All are welcome to attend and become members.

Grief Support Group

The AARP Chester County Widowed Persons Services invites any and all widowed persons (especially the newly widowed) to attend an evening of dinner and fellowship at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of each month in the dining area of Hoss's Restaurant at the crossroads of Routes 100 and 113, in the Exton/Lionville area. Also, all widowed persons are welcome to gather for breakfast on the first Saturday of each month. DAHS Alumni Association

Alzheimer's Support Group

A support group for families and friends of individuals with serious memory loss is offered on the second Wednesday of every month from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Inn at Freedom Village, 30 Freedom Blvd., West Brandywine, in the assisted living dining room. The group is facilitated by trained social service staff and provides mutual support, education and practical tips on dealing with changes in behavior. This support group is free and open to the public. The Inn at Freedom Village provides assisted living for people with memory impairments and offers free care during the support group meeting for those who request it. Chester County Detachment Marine Corps League holds Family Style Bingo, in a non-smoking environment, on the first and third Saturday of each month at 430 Chestnut St., Downingtown.
