David F. McCulloch, 79, of Downingtown, formerly of Lionville and Glasgow, Scotland, died at his residence on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008.Born in Chicago, Ill., he was the son of the late Frederick and Isabelle McCulloch (nee Jamison).
Mr. McCulloch received his formal education until 13 years of age and then served as an apprentice for ships instruments school in Glasgow, Scotland.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the 1989 U.S. invasion of Panama.
He was employed as a consultant for water and wastewater treatment companies.
Mr. McCulloch is survived by his children, Cricket Sandone (Scott) and David F. McCulloch Jr., both of Downingtown, and Heather Rosati (Ken) of Phoenixville; and his eight grandchildren, Chelsea, Bonnie, Hollie, Bethany, Rebecca, Margaret Elaine, Kenneth and David.
He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret A. McCulloch (nee Kayoti), in 1998.
Mr. McCulloch was a wonderful father and grandfather.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, 610-269-3080, where friends may call after 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
