Kindergarten registration is planned to begin throughout the Downingtown Area School District during the first week of March.A child is eligible for kindergarten registration if they will be five years of age by Sept. 30, 2008.

Sine the registration packet contains quite a few forms for completion, it is recommended that parents pick up a packet of materials and return when it is complete. To accurately plan for the coming school year, it is crucial that registration information is received to determine the number of available kindergarten classes for the fall.

Parents can assist the district by spreading the word and encouraging neighbors and friends to contact the school office as quickly as possible.

To complete the registration process, please bring the completed registration packet along with a birth certificate, up-to-date immunization records and proof of residence (i.e., driver's license, agreement of sale, lease, property deed, etc.)

Students will not be considered as registered until complete immunization records are provided to the school or confirmation is received from a doctor's office of a pending appointment to complete immunizations.

To obtain a registration packet, please visit your neighborhood elementary school.
