While selling cars and earning a profit usually come to mind when the phrase car dealer is mentioned, service excellence and customer satisfaction go hand in hand with Jeff D'Ambrosio Dodge.
D'Ambrosio was named the 2005 Dealer of the Year in the Mid-Atlantic region by Chrysler Group.
"It is based on sales, service, parts, the whole package of a true car dealer," said D'Ambrosio. "We are graded on a scorecard system that Chrysler evaluates everyone with."
"Scoring is volume based. Criteria is also customer satisfaction, the facility, as far as being friendly, clean. Service, being able to fix the car right the first time. Keeping the customer happy during a repair, having rentals available on site. Repeat customer buying and servicing at the dealership."
Each dealership is graded by both Chrysler and the customers.
"Every time a customer buys a car, Chrysler mails them a survey asking about their car buying experience," said D'Ambrosio. "It's the same with service. The first time you bring in your car, they send you a survey asking about the experience."
"They x-ray your business, they makes sure it is the best of the best," D'Ambrosio said. "Who is the nest for price, atmosphere, and buying experience."
D'Ambrosio is the only dealership in the Mid-Atlantic region to ever win for sales, service, and parts.
"Our slogan that we started 21 years ago that nobody beats our prices, sales, or service is true," said D'Ambrosio.
As the Dealer of the Year, D'Ambrosio was selected from 2,400 of the elite dealerships in the region, who were distinguished because of their attention to detail and superior operational processes while providing a quality and rewarding buying experience for the customers.
"We were elated, it was a great honor," said D'Ambrosio. "It makes you feel good that we are number one and the best of everyone."
As a regional winner, D'Ambrosio's is eligible to become the national Dealer of the Year at the corporation's annual event in Charleston, SC.
"Jeff and the team at Jeff D'Ambrosio's Dodge represent the model for our best dealerships," said Gary Dilts, Chrysler Group Senior Vice President of Sales in a statement. "We used comprehensive measurement methods to evaluate each dealership, and Jeff D'Ambrosio's Dodge rose to the top."
