A two-vehicle crash in West Bradford Township that occurred off Route 162 at Strasburg Road left a motorcyclist dead and another woman seriously injured, state police said.Police said the crash occurred about 1 p.m. Sunday, when Theodore J. Braun, 66, of Lansdowne, accelerated in an attempt to cross both lanes of traffic to continue west on Route 162 after stopping at a stop sign on Telegraph Road. At the intersection, Braun's SUV reportedly struck the left side of a motorcycle driven by Cynthia Jean Duryea, 50, of Downingtown.
Duryea was thrown from her motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The passenger on the motorcycle, Glenda Inman, was also thrown from the motorcycle and transported to Chester-Crozer Medical Center, police said. Inman was listed in critical condition on Sunday evening, according to police.
Braun reportedly did not suffer any injury from the crash, police said.
State police were assisted by West Bradford Fire Company, Sky Care, Good Fellowship Ambulance, Medic 91 and Gazzerro's Towing.
