Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 to 4:45 PM the Center now offers a FREE Core and Strength Training Program for active older adults age 60+. Instruction provided by Ageless Exercise, Inc.

The Downingtown Area Senior Center is a registered 501 c(3) charitable organization. Bill Pierce is the Center's Executive Director.

Skyling Boys Quartet in concert

The "Skyline Boys Quartet" will be in concert at Friendship Unioted Methodist Church Sunday, Jan. 4 at 11 a.m.

Begin the New Year in worship and celebration with the "The Skyline Boys" of Northern Virginia. Bring in the New Year with Southern Gospel music. The Skyline Boys are on tour in Pennsylvania and will be making a stop at our church. Be sure to mark this date on your calendar and invite your friends.

The Skyline Boys started in 1995 at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Their early rehearsals were held at a little church in Front Royal, Virginia. To name the group Dennis borrowed the moniker from the famed Skyline Drive which begins nearby.

Caln sponsors bus trip to DC

Caln Township also has a trip scheduled for Washington D.C. for April 11, 2009. This will be Cherry Blossom time in D.C. The bus trip leaves K-Mart at 7 a.m. and will make 2 stops at the Air and Space Museum and at the Holocaust Museum. The rest of the day is up to you. The bus will leave Washington D. C. at 5:30 p.m. and is expected in Thorndale near 8:30 p.m. If you are interested, contact the Park and Recreation Department at (610)-384-0600 ext. 4. The fee is $60 per person.

Bus trip to Inner Harbor

Caln Township will be holding a bus trip to Baltimore Inner Harbor on Saturday, May 16, 2009. This trip is a "on your own" trip and only includes busfare. Sightseeing at the Baltimore National Aquarium or the Inner Harbor is not included. Bus cost is $35.00 and leaves at 7:30 a.m. and returns approximately at 8:30 p.m. For more information or registration, please call (610)-384-0600 ext. 148
