Wednesdays: Blood Pressure Checks by Registered Nurses at 10 a.m.

Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tai Chi Classes Tuesdays: Soul Line Dancing with Ester Hamilton at 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays: Arthritis Exercise Class at 11 a.m. No pre-registration is necessary

Thursdays: Meditation Class with Marge Coty at 10:15 a.m.

August is designated as "Garden Month," bring in pictures of your flower garden, flower pots, window boxes, etc. They will be displayed and voted on for the prettiest picture on Aug. 28.


You do not have to be a member of our senior center to go on our trips. Trips are open to all adults. On all day trips, half the cost of the trip is due to reserve your place; on overnight trips over $100, a deposit of 25 percent is required. Reservations can only be made with payment. Aug. 27 - Birthday Party. Special lunch at noon. Bingo starts at 1 p.m. Jackpot game the last game. Prizes awarded for all games, $50 for Jackpot Bingo. Multiple winners must share the pot. Call to make lunch reservations no later than two days in advance.

Water educational camp

Pennsylvania-American Water Company and and Pennsylvania Resources Council will be holding a water educational camp at Hibernia Park located near Route 82 in West Brandywine Township on August 21 and 22nd. Campers may range in age from 7 through 12 and the cost is free. However, parents will need to send a $10 refundable deposit to hold a space for each child attending the camp.

Activities include how man's activity affects water quality in rivers and streams. Children will conduct water experiments and create water crafts. Anyone interested in signing up for this camp can call Barbara Piper Arnold at (717)-385-8256.
