Turkey supper set

Strasburg Fire Company will hold its annual Turkey Supper on Nov. 8, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Strasburg Fire Company, 203 Franklin St., Strasburg. Dine in or take out. Benefit ride set

Dean Hart Benefit Ride will leave the Christiana American Legion on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 11:30 a.m., ride to Bryn Mawr Rehab and return to the Legion 1:30-2 p.m. The cost is $5 per vehicle. The benefit party will begin at 2 p.m. at American Legion, Christiana. The cost for the party is $15 per person, $25 per couple. QPRC to hold holiday bazaar

Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community will hold its annual holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 in the independent living activity room. There will be handcrafted items for sale as well as food.

Quarryville artist to offer program on painting tips

The Lancaster County Art Association in Strasburg Sunday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. "5 Secrets of Successful Paintings." Award winning artist Carol Herr of Quarryville will present a program on "5 Secrets to Successful Paintings." These "secrets" will help any artist, no matter what medium or style they may work in. Herr will also talk about her paintings in the "30+" exhibit that is in the Kauffman Gallery and answer questions from those attending the program. The public is invited and admission is free. The LCAA is located at 149 Precision Ave., Strasburg.

Solanco Senior Center to host free crime seminar

A free crime prevention seminar for senior citizens is being held at the Solanco Area Senior Center, 184 S. Lime St., Quarryville, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7.

The Senior Crime Prevention University Program makes seniors aware of the kinds of scams used by con artists. It is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.

The seminar is a lively, interactive training video by the newly created Elder Abuse Unit. The program lets seniors know about the latest scams being used by scam artists and teaches them how to avoid becoming a victim. A new addition to the presentation includes important facts on identity theft, specifically how people can safeguard their credit and protect their financial information.

Craft show slated

The Quarryville Fire Company Auxiliary will hold a Craft Show on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hoffman Building in Quarryville. Food will be provided by the Quarryville Fire Company Auxiliary. Proceeds will benefit Quarryville Fire Company.

Faith church to hold ESL classes
